For the 30th anniversary of the first episode of Only Fools (Thursday 8th September) BBC Radio Bristol will be broadcasting four daytime programmes live from the locations that gave the back drop to Peckham. Locations ranging from where the van broke down when they were wearing the Batman and Robin outfits, the location exterior used for when Del Boy fell through the bar, the location used for when Del and Uncle Albert sold children’s dolls that sing Chinese lullabies and of course Nelson Mandela house.
Over 20 locations were used in and around the Bristol area and BBC Radio Bristol will be speaking to cast, crew and listeners who will be sharing their memories about Only Fools in Bristol, which includes a very special interview with John Challis back at Boyce’s fictional home in Bristol.
There will be a chance for visitors to the outside broadcasts to have their photo taken along side a fantastic replica of the Trotter’s three wheeled van.
This poster explains more details about the locations for the day.
Also on Wednesday 7th Spetember BBC Radio Bristol will be holding a very special Only Fools and Horses Pub Quiz, at the Bristol Bowling Club, in Ashton, just behind Nelson Mandela House. It starts at 7.30 and is free but you will need to be in a team of four. There’s no prizes to win but fun, laughter and memories to be shared.
