Only Fools and Horses Cuts – Jolly Boys Outing bonus
Ronnie English provided some great insight into the only fools and horses cuts in the past
Today he takes us through a Jolly Boys Outing Un-Broadcast Scene
The Jolly Boys Outing was a Christmas Special, Broadcast on the 25th of December 1989. As well as having a scene cut from the DVD, Another scene was cut before the episode was even broadcast, due to “timing restrictions”. The scene is very short, and occurs when Del, Rodney and Uncle Albert go in to Villa Bella. The original scene in the hallway ends with Dell trying to write with a pen which is chained to the wall. This scene seems to have been intended for after dell fiddles with the pen.
The cut scene shows two people eating their meals (The two meals being carried in the broadcast episode) while complaining about the hotel. The following lines were in the scene:
Del: “Are you the guests she hired to cheer the place up?”
Arthur: “No, We are guests.”
Betty: “Guests Aye!”
Del: “This is no club med, is it?”
Arthur: “It’s really horrible here, The foods awful.”
Betty: “Awful Food.”
Arthur: “And not much of it, Either!”
Betty: “No, She only lets you have one jacket potato a day!”
Del: “Well, You never know, She might give you an extra lump of custard with your afters.”
Arthur: “Well, she hasn’t in previous years.”
Betty: “No.”
Arthur: “Aye?”
Del: “Well, Stay Lucky.”
Dell then leaves, and goes up the stairs. The episode then goes onto the bedroom scene.
In the broadcast episode, you do catch a glimpse of the two people in the missing scene, as seen above.

Think this is one of the funniest episodes especially at the hotel and when the bus blows up.
I like this episode. The one where del and rodney find that B& B that looks like something out of hammer house of horror.
Its one of the best episodes ever – so much in just over an hour – classic only fools

Hi, Yes this picture is from a Book I have, Its very small in the book which is why its looks very bad. I have been told all the unused scenes were “deleted”. But I think the BBC still have them somewhere.
I have a feeling this came from a publication – though best to ask Ronnie
is the picture at the top of the page taken from the actual scene, if so how did you manage to get the picture,if it was never broadcast, have you got the scene on youtube.
thanks
