Paula Wilcox was well known in the 1970s for Thames sitcom Man About The House, she played Chrissy Plummer in a flirtatious battle of wits with her male flatmate Robin, played by Richard O’Sullivan.
So why are Only Fools and Horses fans interested in the Manchester born actress? Well it’s all down to Violet and Pertunia!
Well on 27 October 2006, Paula Wilcox was seen in the Only Fools and Horses spin-off The Green Green Grass as Marlene’s sister Pertunia . In series two Pertunia turns up at the Boyces’ Shropshire estate with an unexpected, and unwelcome, present.
The Green Green Grass episode “Brothers and Sisters” sees her bringing along the Driscoll Brothers to Winterdown Farm when she visits the family.
But it appears she also has a totally new character in the latest episode of Rock and Chips shown December 29th 2010 BBC1 9pm. Current listings have Paula Wilcox appearing as Violet (Joan’s mother-in-law).
Only 4 actors have played two different characters in John Sullivans Only Fools episodes and Spin-offs as i can recall:
