We have no doubt watched the sport relief sketch several times now, milking each word and reference and chuckling as we reminisced on Del and Rodney’s past episodes. To see David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst slipping straight back into the characters of Del and Rodney was a treat for all fans. But for our friend Steve Clark he dug far deeper as he was on set during the filming.

The filming of an Only Fools and Horses sketch for Sport Relief, certainly brought its challenges with the last minute changes to the script as Roger Lloyd-Pack, who played Trigger had been due to appear but had to withdraw due to illness, and he sadly died just three days after filming took place.
He mentions how close to the work of John Sullivan, his sons painstakingly made the script. I agree it was an authentic nod to the genius of John Sullivan’s script writing. They did their father proud!
That article on Steve’s website saddened me a little bit, when John’s sons said they want to protect OFAH, not add to it.
I wish they would, they could be the next legacy
