Mr X

Mr X by Jimmy Connerly (One year on from Sleepless in Peckham)

Scene Seven - INT- SCENE CUTS BACK TO THE TROTTERS FLAT

cassandra trotterRodney is ham-fistedly changing a nappy. Cassandra enters from the kitchen.

Cass:      Honestly Rodney, I can't believe you haven't got the hang of that yet!
Rodney: She keeps moving!

Doorbell rings

Cass:      Well, you can do some moving of your own now and answer the door.
Rodney: (Smiling) Anything else my lady?
Cass:      Yes, if they're selling anything were not interested.
Rodney: No, you'll be alright, Del's back at the pub.

CUTS BACK TO THE NAGS HEAD (STILL MIKE AND DEL)
Del:         How did finding out who Mr X was mean you went down the kermet?
Mike:      Because as soon as I found out who he was, he realised  I was a danger to him.
Del:         Why?
Mike:      Because I knew him.
Del:         (Unconvinced) So you came to warn me about him.
Mike:      Yes.
Del:         (Still dubious) Am I in danger as well then?
Mike:      Yes.
Del:         Why?
Mike:      Because you know him as well.
