The special goes out on 25th December 2005 at 8 pm

A 50 minute special from the team promises to be a real treat this year. An appearance from some old time only fools favourites like the Driscoll brothers (Christopher Ryan (Tony Driscoll), Roy Marsden (Danny Driscoll) ) and Sid will bring back some fond memories from the past.

BBC newsreader Fiona Bruce is to appear in the Christmas special of comedy series The Green, Green Grass.

Fiona, right, will play herself in a Crimewatch scene with presenter Nick Ross.

The pair delighted BBC1 producers by agreeing to appear in the Only Fools and Horses spin-off.

A show insider said: "They shot it after a real Crimewatch rehearsal so it looks authentic and it fits in perfectly with The Green, Grass Grass storyline. Their scene is excellent."

In the episode Boycie (John Challis) and Marlene (Sue Holderness) are invited to a posh royal ball where they are tempted to invest in a polo club.
