Today’s lovely jubbly episode – To Hull And Back
To Hull And Back, is a fabulous episode. In my opinion it has one of the best story-lines out of all the Only Fools And Horses episodes.

Plot Summary:
Boycie and Abdul pitch a diamond scam to Del Boy, who immediately turns them down. That is until they offer him a £15,000 cut of the estimated £150,000 sale of the stone on the UK market. Del finds himself designated as the courier between Holland and Britain. No sooner has Del enlisted a reluctant Rodders, he hears his old foil Chief Inspector Slater is eyeing Boycie and Abdul as the money men behind the deal. Del decides to hide undetected in the back of Denzil’s van. Denzil then getting in and driving them to Hull (pursued by Rodney) was not part of the plan. Thinking quickly, they hire a boat, and let Uncle Albert guide them to Amsterdam. Overcoming counterfeit cash, Albert’s amnesia, it’s only the arrival of Slater that scuppers them. Despite this, it’s Del who has the last laugh.
This is definitely a must-watch episode, To Hull And Back is 90 minutes of genuis. I do not want to spoil anything, but this really is a great episode.
Hi only just found this site OFF of Facebook …wondered if ANYONE knew reason that the ROBIN HOOD song was taken out ? Surely cant offend anyone …been meaning to find out …..SO MANY little phrases been omitted since been transferred to GOLD ….really annoying ..as every phrase John put in was NEEDED and a classic…nothing I ever found offensive ..
The Robin Hood song cracks me up every time!
Love this episode, it has a real London gangster feel about it when they are in the back room of the pub negotiating the job!
Only part that kind of bothers me is the foot chase in Amsterdam….. felt too fake considering how close they were to each other. Wonder what that guy did who the police were really chasing?
Life long fan since a kid, listen to the audio available on the audio archive website most nights whilst falling asleep.
I met Rachel Bell today (she played Lil the Waitress) and she signed my To Hull & Back DVD :)
Toll man- ”That will be a pound”
Rodney-”A Pound!, Ahh this has only got 3 wheels”
Toll man- ”That’s only got two and it’s still a pound”
Toll man- ”Watch were you dump that thing will ya”
Pure genius!!!!!
R.I.P John Sullivan…
” Oi John! Which way to Holland?!”
The most hilarious moment in the series.
I also like this episode as its like a movie. This episode is one of two which could be converted to real HD. Come on BBC!!!!!!!!!!
Ha-ha, I agree Ronnie it would be amazing if it got converted to HD! :)
