We’ve already looked at favourite episodes, but what about your favourite Only Fools and Horses scene?
This could be judged based on its laughter, drama, cleverness, or how it touched you.
We all know that public votes for best comedy moment always bring up the same classics like the following scenes.
- Del falling through the bar in Yuppy Love
- The coach blowing up in Jolly Boys Outing
- Grandad dropping the wrong chandelier in A Touch of Glass
- But what about the Batman and Robin scene as they enter the wake and squirt foam in Heroes and Villains?
- Maybe the lack of a car phone when Rodney sets Del up in the hang gliding scene in Tea for Three
- Or the clever use of the Vicars hat being thrown into Grandad’s burial in Strained Relations
- Many love the embarrassing ‘cwying’ scene with Tony Angelino in Stage Fright
- Or did you prefer the subtle cleverness of the scene in the nuclear shelter with Grandad reflecting on the war in Russians are Coming
- The time Del and Rodney walk in the Nags Head after they have become Millionaires in Time on our Hands
As you can see there are loads of scenes
What is your favourite Only Fools and Horses scene?
If there are enough comments we may run a poll.
When Uncle Albert wets himself in “He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Uncle” and he lets out this huge roar – Hilarious!!!!
Also, when Del Boy rubs the back massager on Uncle Albert’s back in the market in “The Frog’s Legacy” and Albert starts doing that silly dance – so hilarious!!!!
In the Indian restaurant,Waiter. what kind of rice would you like Sir, Del Boy, Do you have Uncle Bens
In the Indian restaurant,Waiter. what kind of rice would you like Sir, Del Boy, Do you have Uncle Bens. 😂🤣😂🤣😂
I like. Del singing one voice
In the maternity hospital When roders asks dell what about the sex(referring to the sex of dels new born baby) and del replies give her time Rodney, class lol
My favourite scene was the episode “Royal Flush” where Del was shooting with a sawn-off shot gun, which he borrowed from Higgy Higgins.
I think mine has to be Del in Yuppy Love, first time we see him as a wannabee “yuppy” just his whole performance especially his walk into the wine bar with his filofax. his whole manner when he tries to chat the business women up with the how you spell arrods, and the whole scene leading up to his fall.
In ‘Video Nasty’ when Del is telling Rodney and Albert about his film idea, involving the escaped rhino. Hilarious every single time.
WHERE DO I START – DEL SINGING ‘ONE VOICE’ IN THE NELSON MANDELA CAR PAK IN ‘FATAL EXTRACTION’. GRANDAD (GOD REST LENNARD PEARCE) ASKING RODNEY ‘WHAT YOU GOT – A WENDY HOUSE’ WHEN HE SAID HE WAS GOING INTO THE SELF-CATERING HOLIDAY TRADE WITH MICKY PEARCE IN ‘HEALTHY COMPETITON’. UNCLE ALBERT (GOD REST BUSTER MERRYFIELD) SAYING TO DEL ‘DURING THE 1939-1945 CONFLICT WITH GERMANY’ IN ‘TIME ON OUR HANDS’. RODNEY GETTING THE TOMATO KETHCUP OUT OF HIS BAG IN ‘RODNEY COME HOME’. DEL HOLDING DAMIEN FOR THE FIRST TIME & SHOWING HIM TO THE NIGHT SKY & SAYING ‘THERE YOU ARE MUM – YOUR FIRST GRANDCHILD’ & THEN TELLING DAMIEN HE WILL ALWAYS MAKE HIM LAUGH & SMILE IN ‘THREE MEN, A WOMAN & A BABY’. THE MOST HEARTFELT MOMENTS WERE IN ‘STRAINED RELATIONS’ WHEN RODNEY SHOUTS AT DEL ‘HOW COULD YOU GET OVER IT SO QUICKLY’ & DEL DELIVERS AN EMOTIONAL SPEECH ABOUT BEING DEL-BOY & BEING FINISHED WITH FAMILIES AS THEY BREAK YOUR ‘BLOODY HEART’ & IN ‘TIME ON OUR HANDS’ WHEN DEL TRAPS RODNEY IN THE LIFT & HE BREAKS DOWN OVER CASSANDRA’S MISCARRIAGE. I COULD GO ON ALL DAY ABOUT FAVOURITE SCENES & SAD SCENES (THE SAD SCENES WERE ALLWAYS DONE WITH GREAT RESPECT & WITH A LOT OF THOUGHT WHICH WAS A MARK OF THE WONDERFULL WRITING SKILLS OF JOHN SULLIVAN – GOD REST HIM).
The gravy and coffee mix up from Uncle Albert in ‘Time On Our Hands’
my favourite is when uncle albert drinks cassandra’s specimen…..
del and rodders faces…. haha. PRICLESS!!
My Dad particulary likes the scene in Jolly Boys, where Del, Rodney and Albert leave the cozy B&B after being made a fool of by Micky Pearcs, Denzil and Jevon, where Del nicks Jevon’s roast spud and scoffs it down, while Albert suddenly scares off the cat.
For me, the Vicars hat scene is very clever.
mine has got to be from my fave episode the unlucky winner is… the whole of the airport scene i like, HOW THE HELL AM I GONNA PASS FOR 14!! gets me all the time and you are now a life member of the groovy gang!!
I cannot decide! It’s when del embarasses Rodney that gets me!!
one of my favourite scences if not my favourite is when the dolls inflate in the flat it still gets me in stitches every time theres got to be a 30th aniverery episode as i guarente as a fan that viewing figures will BOOM!!! long live only fools.
when rodney gets married and del is standing at the reception after rodney goes and holding back the years is playing, you can see he is trying to let him go. then after the honeymoon rodney comes back to dels and sits down and del boy says YOU DONT LIVE ERE ANY MORE ! oh love fools and horses .
The Hang Gliding Scene, when Del asks Rodney if he can hear their car phone ringing. Rodney says “we ain’t got a car phone. Enjoy your flight Del, get up nice and high, you might get a suntan” (in revenge for Del leaving him under the sunbed too long!
Too many to mention. For sentimentality, the scene where Del holds Damien for the first time in the hospital. That’s what makes the whole show great (and all the other great British comedies) – a heart.
I would have to say the nuclear selter scene with grandad. Also the scene when Del enters the pub after becoming rich.
Some of mine have got to be when:
– Del, Denzel and Mike are in the pub and Rodney comes in carrying the tomatoes and he passes, Mike the crates and there is just tomatoes allover his suit. Then Del says to mike “Mike, give ’em summit to clean that up with would ya?”
“How about a slice of bread?”
Get’s me everytime. xD!
Also
– When Albert drinks the ‘Apple Juice’
Two classic scenes. But tbh all Of Only Fools and Horses is all my favourite scene, it is just all amazing…love it! <3
my favorite scene is in rodney come home when del asks uncle albert to look horrified.
