Only Fools and Twitter update!
We are going to attempt to integrate further features and updates using Twitter and facebook over the coming weeks. Perry has got the Tweeting bug, so we are encouraging everyone who currently follows updates of this site using @ofahnet to now start following @onlyfoolsnews
So if you have been horsing around on Twitter recently you may of come across some interesting characters. Only Fools and Twitter seems to be bigger than i realised!
Super Fools fan Tom Griffith contacted us to mention a few decent Only Fools Twitter parody accounts which might be worth looking at, so we assigned Tom the task of tracking some of these down.
Only Fools and Horsing around – On Twitter!
Fans of our favourite TV show, Only Fools and Horses has gathered many thousands of followers between them in recent months by creating parody Twitter profiles of the famous on-screen characters from Peckham.
There’s little surprise in saying that Del Boy’s account has generated the most followers, tallying over 45 (and counting) thousand hard-core fans. Del’s dopey younger brother, Rodney is enjoying himself on the site, notching up 15 thousand followers.
Fans of the show enjoy an exchange of quotes and conversations between our loveable characters from John Sullivan’s creation.
Celebrity appeal and official Only Fools actors joining in the fun
The parody accounts have increased in popularity so much, that the odd celebrity, most notably Ricky ‘The Hitman’ Hatton – former welter weight champion follows the lucky fans’ Twitter accounts. Ricky of course is a huge fan of the show himself and regularly exchanges in the ongoing banter with Del and the boys.
John Challis (Boycie) a Tweeter himself, often replies to the parody accounts. This is typical of John – very considerate and realises what the sitcom means to the millions of fans around the globe.
Andree Bernard, who played Nervous Nerys in the show enjoys the banter between the regulars.
Vas Blackwood (Lennox Gilby) has been known to get involved with the parody accounts and enjoys the laughs between his own parody account and the fans.
More recently, Patrick Murray’s (Mickey Pearce) son Ricky, follows his own Dad’s parody account. Ricky appeared briefly in The Jolly Boy’s Outing in the scene where Albert is playing with the toy boats against a little blonde chap. Albert, of course, is seen crashing his boat!
More than just Del Boy and Rodders
Of course, it’s not just about Del Boy and Rodney’s amusing tweets. Where would they be without the aid of their loyal long-term friends? And even foes! Whilst you have the likes of Trigger, Denzil and Mike being thrown into the mix, a certain former Chief Inspector Slater tends to sniff around to cause trouble – usually trying to make a quick quid selling diamonds.
We have a list of all the known, popular Twitter parodies that have given us hours of fun:

Well I have loved Only Fools and Horses for years even since I was a kid, I think that people setting up parody accounts of the famous iconic characters of the best loved comedies of all time is a great idea. The fact that they are keeping the show alive with pictures and quotes from the program to this day and keeping us all happy, also when the program is still being shown 31years after its first airing is amazing and it is still funny no matter how many times you see it, so all I can say is good on them!!
Well I love Only Fools and Horses and have done for years. Im on twitter sll the time and I think it is great that people have set up parody accounts of the famous characters from the iconic funniest comedy of all time. Keeping the show alive after all these years, I love the fact that I can still see pictures and quotes from the show and it always makes me laugh. So all I can say is good on them!!
Hi John,
I don’t quite understand where you are coming from when you say ‘them’ – are you referring to multiple accounts or was it a spelling error? I follow pretty much all the OFAH Twitter accounts & I think they are all very creative, clever & imaginative. You tarnishing them all with the same brush (unintentionally or not) is a bit of a bad move on your behalf as i’m sure a lot of hard work goes into those accounts & I applaud those who have the passion to run them & keep OFAH alive. Keep up the good work guy’s! :D
Also that comment about John Sullivan – not cool …
I mean the disgusting “hardcore sex” comments of which are to be linked to OFAH characters is abhorrent and despicable and trust me John im sure WOULD feel the same
Hi again John,
It seems to me like there is one account in particular which is upsetting you? If that is the case – don’t read or follow them. It’s that simple.
You have absolutely no right to speak for John Sullivan. I’m sure if John was still with us today, he would of sat back & admired what he has created.
John, it’s unfair and untrue to generalise your comment against individual parade accounts. This may be the case for one parody but the fans who, for fun tweet parody accounts are just as big a Fools fan as any.
HaHA! brilliant! I follow these parody’s! there’s also some others such as @3wheelvan @independenttraders.
Im not sure I agree with the above comments about any vile comments?? Some risky jokes are sometimes tweeted mind
I must admit I do like these parody accounts and they do tweet some very funny delboy things but what lets them down they tweet some disgusting, vile things aswell which lets them down so much and im sure would have disgusted John Sullivan
