I met John Challis at a book signing once, he was just the nicest bloke ever, he shook my hand, and he had no problem about me wanting to have my photo taken with him.
The queue to see him was out of this world, so many people, but John kindly saw all of them.
very nice man, not arrogant or rude at all.
RIP John, your missed deeply
