Only Fools and Horses Cuts – Part 10<\/h2>\n

Last week we started looking at several minutes of lost scenes from A Royal Flush . These losses are on the current released \u00a0DVD in the UK.<\/p>\n

We now continue from last week<\/p>\n

A Royal Flush (continued)<\/h3>\n

In the scene where Rodney and Vicky enter the opera entrance, the following lines have been removed.<\/p>\n

The first line is removed when Rodney is giving the tickets to the ticket man. In the original, Rodney freezes and the ticket man has to repeat himself. The following lines has been lost:<\/p>\n

Rodney: “Oh”<\/p>\n

Ticket man: “I said, Have a nice evening, sir.”<\/p>\n

…<\/p>\n

Vicky: “Are you all right?”<\/p>\n

Rodney: “I’m fine.”<\/p>\n

When Rodney orders the programmes, He originally acted as the woman had misheard him. Two lines have been cut:<\/p>\n

Rodney: “No, Two Programmes.”<\/p>\n

Woman: “They’re four pounds each, sir.”<\/p>\n

Rodney: “Oh, well then.”<\/p>\n

Woman: “Ta.”<\/p>\n

In the bar scene, the following has been cut:<\/p>\n

When Rodney questions Del on why he is there, the line:<\/p>\n

“After all I’ve done for you!”<\/p>\n

Has been cut before the line “There were four tickets up for grabs!”<\/p>\n

Shorty after this line, the following has been cut:<\/p>\n

Rodney: “You aint ever been to an opera in your life.”<\/p>\n

Del: “I’ve never milked a cow in my life, but I still like a bit of cheese, don’t I?<\/p>\n

After Julie explains that her daughter used to go out with Rodney, The following line is cut:<\/p>\n

Julie: “She’s living with a Cypriot geezer now.”<\/p>\n

Rodney: “Terrific”<\/p>\n

Julie: “You came around that night, Del, remember? well, you’d just delivered the telly, hadn’t you?”<\/p>\n

Del: “Yeah. It just needed a little bit of adjustment, that was all.”<\/p>\n

Del: Eh?<\/p>\n

Vicky: “It isn’t from Carmen. It’s from The Barber of Seville.”<\/p>\n

Rodney: “Yeah. yeah. that’s right actually. It is definitely The Barber of Seville, that one, Del.”<\/p>\n

….<\/p>\n

After the bell sounds, the following has been cut:<\/p>\n

Rodney: “Yeah, we just thought there might be time for a quick one.”<\/p>\n

Vicky: “I don’t think so.”<\/p>\n

….<\/p>\n

Julie: “Here, Del. how come she’s got a programme and I ain’t?”<\/p>\n

Del: “She can read!”<\/p>\n

Julie: “Oh”<\/p>\n

In the opera scene, various parts have been removed. Del having an argument with the audience has been removed, the scene showing Del and Julie eating crisps and the rubbish being thrown on the floor has also been removed. Below are the various lines which have been cut.<\/p>\n

Julie: “I like Vince Hill.”<\/p>\n

Del: “Well, yeah, I like Vince Hill. Yeah. He’s almost culture. Not quite, you know, but almost.”<\/p>\n

….<\/p>\n

Del: “Is he having a pop at me, or what?”<\/p>\n

Rodney: “No, he ain’t. Just be quiet.”<\/p>\n

When Del asks Vicky if she wants a sweet, he says her name twice, originally he only said it once.<\/p>\n

Del and Julie then begin to eat a packet of crisps each. This part of the scene has been completely removed apart from the packet noises. The following lines has been cut:<\/p>\n

Del: “Rodney?”<\/p>\n

Rodney: “What?”<\/p>\n

Del: “Want a crisp?”<\/p>\n

Rodney: “No.”<\/p>\n

Del: “Vicky?”<\/p>\n

At this point Del is moaned at by a man in the audience.<\/p>\n

Man: “Shush.”<\/p>
