Fans Script: ROCK AND CHIPS -North by North London-<\/h2>\n

EXT.NIGHT. THE NEW WORLD ESTATE<\/p>\n

We see Sir Walter Raleigh house from outside and the camera pans up to the Trotter family\u2019s window.<\/p>\n

INT.NIGHT. THE TROTTER FLAT<\/p>\n

The flat is much how we last saw it, Grandad is asleep in his chair, the TV is on but the broadcast has finished for the night indicating it is getting late.<\/p>\n

Reg is out on the balcony in his pyjamas, which are only slightly cleaner than grandads.<\/p>\n

Joan enters from the bedroom area<\/p>\n

JOAN. Is Del in yet?<\/p>\n

REG. (enters) No, no he\u2019s not (has a guilty tone about his voice)<\/p>\n

JOAN. He\u2019s late tonight; you don\u2019t reckon he\u2019s in some sort of trouble do ya?<\/p>\n

REG. What? No, he\u2019s probably out thieving somewhere.<\/p>\n

JOAN. Our Del doesn\u2019t thieve, Reg.<\/p>\n

REG. No, no course he doesn\u2019t, I suppose he got them leather jackets he\u2019s been flogging in the Christmas crackers did he?<\/p>\n

JOAN. He told me Trigger got them direct from the factory, cheap.<\/p>\n

REG. The only thing cheap about the factory that Trigger got them from was the lock on the warehouse door.<\/p>\n

JOAN. Oh you always think the worst of people, anyway, what you doing out there?<\/p>\n

REG. I\u2019m making a pot of tea ain\u2019t I, what do you think I\u2019m doing, I\u2019m getting some air.<\/p>\n

JOAN. But it\u2019s freezing, come on come in and close the door.<\/p>\n

She goes over to the door but Reg blocks her off<\/p>\n

REG. It\u2019s alright I\u2019ll do it, you get back to bed if your cold, go on.<\/p>\n

JOAN. Don\u2019t be too late to bed, Reg. I don\u2019t want you waking Rodney up.<\/p>\n

Joan goes; as she passes the TV she turns it off.
\nGrandad wakes up, switches it back on and goes back to sleep.<\/p>\n

Reg goes back onto the balcony, we now see from his POV that he was looking into a flat opposite where a young woman is getting ready for bed in her lingerie<\/p>\n

EXT.NIGHT. THE NEW WORLD ESTATE<\/p>\n

Delboy and Boycie are walking towards Sir Walter Raleigh House. As they approach they pass a black car with two men sat in it, they don\u2019t notice the men and the men don\u2019t notice them. One of the men is about fifty wears glasses and is stocky in a dark suit, looks a real villain, the other man is a lot younger, tall and a typical greaser in a leather jacket, his black hair is styled like buddy holly.<\/p>\n

BOYCIE: Well that was another complete balls up, Del that is the last double date I go on with you.<\/p>\n

DEL. Whadda ya mean, it went alright for me (rubs his hands together) your too much of a prude that\u2019s your trouble.<\/p>\n

BOYCIE. I am not a prude, it\u2019s just that I don\u2019t appreciate you and that Alice being almost down to your underwear while myself and Julie where trying to have a romantic conversation.<\/p>\n

DEL. Leave it out Boyce, a romantic conversation to Julie is the geezer remembering to say goodbye to her in the morning.<\/p>\n

BOYCIE. Julie is not like that, that\u2019s her other friend, what\u2019s her name, Marlean. No, no, no my Julie is more cultured than that, she likes taking things nice and slow.<\/p>\n

DEL. Just as well she met you then innit, because while me and Alice where onto desserts you where still blowing ya soup (laughs)<\/p>\n

Boycie looks up<\/p>\n

BOYCIE. Ere, aint that your dad up there?<\/p>\n

DEL. Yeah, what\u2019s he looking at?<\/p>\n

Del and Boycie now notice what Reg is looking at.<\/p>\n

DEL. The dirty old\u2026\u2026.(shouting in a deep voice) Oi, what you doing looking at my wife?<\/p>\n

Reg jumps back but sees that it\u2019s Del<\/p>\n

REG. Oi you watch ya mouth, anyway I wasn\u2019t looking at anyone.<\/p>\n

DEL. No course you weren\u2019t dad (to Boycie) Triggers gonna be a doctor.<\/p>\n

Del and Boycie laugh<\/p>\n

REG. Come on, get up ere, ya mums been worried about ya.<\/p>\n

Del looks proud.<\/p>\n

INT. NIGHT. THE TROTTERS FLAT<\/p>\n

Del enters with Boycie<\/p>\n

DEL. I said it\u2019d be alright if Boycie stayed over, he\u2019s had a row with his dad.<\/p>\n

REG. What about this time?<\/p>\n

BOYCIE. Oh you know, this and that.<\/p>\n

REG. nothing to do with you flogging knackered bikes he\u2019d put aside for scrap then?<\/p>\n

BOYCIE. How do you know about that?<\/p>\n

REG. He was in the Nags head tonight, he wasn\u2019t half pissed off with you as well. (to Del) and oi, you better not have bought any.<\/p>
