\nSynopsis: It\u2019s 1986. Pre-Raquel and pre-Cassandra. Del now has a legitimate stall in the market selling all goods for \u00a31. It\u2019s called \u2018In For a Penny\u2019. Rodney, Denzil and Trigger (on leave from the council) also work on the stall but it doesn\u2019t make much money so they are forced to take on other work, as usual!<\/em><\/p>\n

Scene 1
\nEXT. BOYCIE\u2019S CAR SHOWROOM. EVENING<\/strong><\/p>\n

Del pulls into the forecourt of Boycie\u2019s Car Showroom. The van is back-firing, as usual. Boycie approaches Del. Del gets out of the van.<\/p>\n

DEL: Alright Boycie?<\/p>\n

BOYCIE: I will be tomorrow Del-Boy when Marlene and I will be lying on a sun lounger in Cuba. While you\u2019re drinking Mike\u2019s watered-down lager I will be sipping Pina Colada\u2019s at a beach-bar. Anyway, what can I do for you?<\/p>\n

DEL: It\u2019s the van.<\/p>\n

BOYCIE: What? Do you want me to scrap it for you Del?<\/p>\n

DEL: You cheeky git. No Boycie, I want you to get one of your boys to take a look at it for me.<\/p>\n

BOYCIE: They\u2019re mechanics Del, not magicians.<\/p>\n

DEL: I just want it a bit road-worthy.<\/p>\n

BOYCIE: Okay Del, I\u2019m not promising anything, they can\u2019t produce miracles.<\/p>\n

DEL: Cheers Boycie.<\/p>\n

BOYCIE: I\u2019ll have it ready for you when I get back from my holiday in 2 weeks.<\/p>\n

DEL: 2 weeks!!<\/p>\n

BOYCIE: That\u2019s right. So what are you gonna use for a van in the meantime Del?<\/p>\n

Del looks over at a white van parked in Boycie\u2019s forecourt.<\/p>\n

DEL: I was thinking of that.<\/p>\n

Del points at the van.<\/p>\n

BOYCIE: Nice choice Del. BMW. 12 careful owners. It\u2019s only been round the clock once and it\u2019s only been in 2 accidents. I\u2019ll let you have it for 10 grand.<\/p>\n

DEL: I don\u2019t wanna buy it, I wanna borrow it.<\/p>\n

BOYCIE: You mean rent it?<\/p>\n

DEL: That\u2019s right. I wanna rent it\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026for free.<\/p>\n

BOYCIE: Oh no Del-Boy. I couldn\u2019t possibly.<\/p>\n

DEL: Look, you\u2019re going away for 2 weeks. Now I know you. You won\u2019t let anyone run your little empire while you\u2019re away. So this place will be shut down for 2 weeks. If you let me borrow it, I\u2019ll make sure it\u2019s kept safe. What do you think, eh? Everyone\u2019s a winner.<\/p>\n

BOYCIE: Okay Del. If you don\u2019t bring it back in one piece, you owe me 10 grand, okay?<\/p>\n

DEL: Scouts honour.<\/p>\n

BOYCIE: And a full tank of petrol.<\/p>\n

DEL: Of course. What do you take me for?<\/p>\n

BOYCIE: I\u2019ll get you the keys.<\/p>\n

Del rubs his hands.<\/p>\n

Scene 2
\nEXT. STREET. NIGHT<\/strong><\/p>\n

Del is driving home. He passes the local warehouse and notices the back door is open. He pulls over and investigates. He pops his head in the opened door to find 4 security guards tied up. They don\u2019t see Del. Del panics and heads back to the van. On the floor, outside the warehouse, he spots a box. He quickly picks it up and throws it into the back of the van and drives off.<\/p>\n

Scene 3
\nEXT. STALL. MORNING.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Del, Denzil and Trigger are stood behind the stall in the market. A man approaches. He places a saucepan on the stall and a one pence piece.<\/p>\n

DEL: What\u2019s that for?<\/p>\n

CUSTOMER: The saucepan.<\/p>\n

DEL: It costs a pound.<\/p>\n

CUSTOMER: But your stall\u2019s called \u2018In for a Penny\u2019.<\/p>\n

DEL: So?<\/p>\n

CUSTOMER: Well, I thought everything was 1p.<\/p>\n

DEL: It\u2019s a phrase, ain\u2019t it?<\/p>\n

CUSTOMER: What is?<\/p>\n

DEL: In for a Penny \u2013 In For a Pound.<\/p>\n

CUSTOMER: I\u2019ve never heard of it.<\/p>\n

Del comes out from behind the stall and picks up a bottle.<\/p>\n

DEL: What does that say?<\/p>
