Scene 20
\nINT. FLAT. EVENING<\/strong><\/p>\n

Del is standing in front of the mirror in the living-room straightening his tie. He has a plaster on his nose and a thick bruised lip. Albert is sat in his armchair. Rodney walks in from the hall-way.<\/p>\n

ALBERT: What are you all dolled up for?<\/p>\n

DEL: I\u2019m taking Belinda out for a meal.<\/p>\n

RODNEY: Again! Blimey, it must be serious.<\/p>\n

DEL: I hope so Rodders. She\u2019s very sophisticated. Just like me.<\/p>\n

RODNEY: You? You think sophistication is buying a microwave meal from Marks and Spencer.<\/p>\n

DEL: She\u2019s classy too.<\/p>\n

ALBERT: Nothing to do with her being a millionaire then?<\/p>\n

DEL: It hadn\u2019t even crossed my mind.<\/p>\n

A car bibs its horn. Del peers out of the window.<\/p>\n

DEL: Right, that\u2019ll be Belinda. I\u2019d better be off. Don\u2019t wait up. What are you going to do tonight Rodney? Any plans?<\/p>\n

RODNEY: Nah, I think I\u2019ll just stay in and watch a film.<\/p>\n

DEL: Ok. See ya later.<\/p>\n

ALBERT: See ya son.<\/p>\n

RODNEY: Yeh. Say hello to Belinda.<\/p>\n

Del goes to leave the flat, closing the living room door behind him. He returns 5 seconds later.<\/p>\n

DEL: Rodney.<\/p>\n

RODNEY: What?<\/p>\n

DEL: They\u2019re in a box under my bed.<\/p>\n

Rodney shakes his head.<\/p>\n

Scene 21
\nINT. CAR. EVENING<\/strong><\/p>\n

Belinda is sitting in the driver\u2019s seat. Del opens the passenger door and gets in.<\/p>\n

BELINDA: Oh my God. What happened to you?<\/p>\n

DEL: It\u2019s okay. It\u2019s nothing. I was just helping out a mate.<\/p>\n

BELINDA: What were you? Ricky Hatton\u2019s sparring partner?<\/p>\n

DEL: You could say that.<\/p>\n

Scene 22
\nINT. RESTAURANT. NIGHT<\/strong><\/p>\n

Del can charm the ladies<\/p><\/div>\n

Del and Belinda have eaten and are waiting for the bill.<\/p>\n

DEL: Cracking meal.<\/p>\n

BELINDA: Mmmm.<\/p>\n

The waiter places the bill on the table. Del picks it up.<\/p>\n

BELINDA: No. No. Let me get this.<\/p>\n

Belinda searches in her hand-bag for her purse.<\/p>\n

BELINDA: Oh damn. I\u2019ve only gone and left my credit card at home.<\/p>\n

DEL: No worries. I\u2019ll get this.<\/p>\n

BELINDA: I promise. The next meal\u2019s on me.<\/p>\n

DEL: Don\u2019t mention it. I thought we might go back to mine after and, you know, have a coffee? What do you say?<\/p>\n

Belinda panics.<\/p>\n

BELINDA: Well, I should be getting home really. I have a busy day tomorrow.<\/p>\n

DEL: That\u2019s a shame cos I\u2019ve got my completed order form AND the money, in cash of course.<\/p>\n

BELINDA: You\u2019re right. If the boss can\u2019t have the morning off then who can?<\/p>\n

DEL: That\u2019s the spirit.<\/p>\n

Scene 23
\nINT. FLAT. NIGHT<\/strong><\/p>\n

Del and Belinda are in the living room sat on a settee drinking coffee. Del is getting amorous.<\/p>\n

DEL: Has anyone ever told you, you have beautiful eyes?<\/p>\n

BELINDA: Only my Optician. Can you tell me where the bathroom is?<\/p>\n

DEL: Just down the hall by the front-door.<\/p>\n

BELINDA: Thank-you.<\/p>\n

DEL: Give the chain 2 hard tugs otherwise it won\u2019t go down.<\/p>\n

Belinda shakes her head. She walks down the hall towards the bathroom. Del shouts out.<\/p>\n

DEL: The fresh air spray\u2019s under the sink.<\/p>\n

BELINDA: (whispers to herself) Peasant.<\/p>\n

Belinda runs into the bathroom. She takes out her mobile phone and dials a number. We hear her real accent for the first time. It\u2019s a Cockney accent.<\/p>\n

BELINDA: Hello Carol, it\u2019s Tracey. Listen, you couldn\u2019t do me a favour could you? Call me back in 3 minutes and when I answer hang-up. Just do it. I\u2019ll explain later.<\/p>\n

Belinda gives the toilet 2 hard tugs and returns to the living room. Del has dimmed the lights. Belinda sits next to Del. Her phone rings.<\/p>\n

BELINDA: Hello Mum. Oh dear. Don\u2019t worry. I\u2019ll come straight over. Yes. Yes. Bye.<\/p>\n

DEL: What\u2019s up?<\/p>\n

BELINDA: That was my mum. She\u2019s had a little fall. I\u2019d better go and make sure she\u2019s Ok.<\/p>\n

DEL: Oh that\u2019s a shame. I\u2019ve just opened a box of twiglets.<\/p>\n

BELINDA: Oh, what a shame. My favourite. Another time, maybe?<\/p>\n

DEL: Of course.<\/p>\n

BELINDA: Now, if I just take your order form and cash?<\/p>\n

DEL: Yeh, I\u2019ve got it right here sweetheart.<\/p>\n

Del gives Belinda a brown envelope containing \u00a32,000 in cash. Belinda puts the envelope in her bag.<\/p>\n

BELINDA: I\u2019ll process the form for you tomorrow. Your stock should be with you within the week.<\/p>\n

DEL: But I\u2019ll be seeing you before then won\u2019t I?<\/p>\n

BELINDA: Of course you will Del, I can\u2019t go that long without you.<\/p>
