Rock and Chips is currently having 2 more episodes filmed. The only fools and horses prequel drama is made up of some of the best young actors in the UK taking on the roles of the young versions of our dear only fools characters.<\/p>\n

Today we caught up with Stephen Lloyd who played Boycie.<\/p>\n

<\/strong>OFAH – Have you been a fools and horses fan before hand?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Of course! Who isn’t? Only Fools is a national treasure! One of my earliest memories is watching Only Fools and Horses as a kid with a McDonald’s happy meal with my mum and dad.<\/p>\n

<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong>OFAH – <\/strong>How did you feel when you heard you’d got the part of Boycie?<\/p>\n

I was buzzing! I was literally on cloud 9! I wanted to tell the world, but wasn’t allowed to until there was an official press release.<\/p>\n

<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong>OFAH – <\/strong>How did you go about preparing for the part?<\/p>\n

I was told not to do an impression of John Challis’ Boycie, so unlike the rest of the boys, I made sure that I didn’t watch any episodes before filming as I didn’t want to be affected by the iconic Boycie voice and laugh.<\/p>\n

<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong>OFAH – <\/strong>What was it like working on a prequel of the great sitcom – any pressure?<\/p>\n

Meeting David Jason, eating lunch with Nicholas Lyndhurst and\u00a0working with John Sullivan…just another day at the office! Hehe! It was an amazing experience and very surreal.\u00a0We all\u00a0knew the\u00a0pressure\u00a0was there but we made sure\u00a0that we stayed focused on telling this story and not ‘re-making’ Only Fools.<\/p>
