Two portions of Rock and Chips is definitely in the making.<\/h2>\n

None other than Mel Smith, will join the young cast of Only Fools and Horses characters on another two 60 minute episodes of Rock and Chips.<\/p>\n

Mel Smith who made it as a writer and producer best known for his work on the sketch comedy shows Not the Nine O’Clock News and Alas Smith and Jones has joined the cast of Only Fools and Horses prequel Rock & Chips. Mel Smith will play DI Thomas a detective in the new episode.<\/p>\n

More Rock and Chips with Mel Smith as a Detective<\/p><\/div>\n

Two new episodes are being made, and once again Inbetweeners star James Buckley will play a young Del Boy, with Nicholas Lyndhurst reprising his role as Freddie “The Frog” Robdal and Kellie Bright will be the blonde Joanie. Paula Wilcox plays Joan’s mother-in-law Violet and Kacey Ainsworth and Samantha Spiro as mothers of Del’s various conquests.<\/p>\n

Shooting has now started as the drama picks up from where the last episode left, following the birth of baby Rodney in 1960 and follow the fortunes of the family as Del progresses to manhood in Sixties London, alongside faithful muckers, Boycie (Stephen Lloyd), Trigger (Lewis Osborne), Denzil (Ashley Gerlach) and Jumbo Mills (Lee Long).<\/p>
