Wat schuift het – No we haven’t gone mad and started talking Del’s lingo but we thought we would spend a few minutes recognising Del’s effect on the Euro today. Only Fools and Horses has been re-made in at least two European countries \u2013 The Netherlands and Portugal<\/p>\n

The Netherlands version was called “Wat schuift het?”, meaning “What’s it worth?” or “What’s In It For Me?” is probably a better translation, and had the Aarsmans instead of the Trotters.<\/p>\n

Of Course Only Fools has been linked with The Netherlands in the past. We all remember the great 1985 episode To Hull and Back. The Trotters are offered \u00a315,000 cut of an estimated \u00a3150,000 sale of diamonds on the UK market. Del finds himself designated as the courier between Holland and Britain. Then Slater turns up!<\/p>\n

Fools fan T. van Trier suggested we try taking a look at ‘Wat Schuift het ?’
\nHe told OFAH.net “It’s translated: ‘How Much Does It Pay?’, it was a Dutch remake of our favorite sitcom. It aired in 1995.
\nOnly 8 episodes were made, the storylines combined several of the stories of the original series. The series stopped however, when the actor playing Granddad unexpectedly died.
