Red Red Wine Part 4 – Set just days after 1991 Miami Twice<\/h2>\n

Scene 4 <\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In the flat with\u00a0 Albert ,Rodney Raquel and Damien<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Rodney and albert are in the kitchen preparing the bottles of wine.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Albert:\u00a0 <\/strong>How come I\u2019ve got to do all this mixing nosense? I\u2019m an old age pensioner. I should be retired.<\/p>\n

Rodney: <\/strong>Yeah but you spent most of your working life sitting in lifeboats and looking over your shoulder at sinking ships.<\/p>\n

Albert: <\/strong>I saw more action than you could imagine Rodney. I could tell you a thing or two about how hard I worked son.<\/p>\n

\"Only<\/p>\n

Rodney: <\/strong>Albert, you\u2019ve been telling me about it for the last 8 years.<\/p>\n

Albert: <\/strong>Then you should know to show a bit of sympathy for me.<\/p>\n

Rodney: <\/strong>Sympathy for you? And what about me eh? <\/strong>I\u2019ve had to put up with your stupid war stories for the best part of a decade. People have been banged up for murder for shorter periods than that!<\/p>\n

Albert: <\/strong>Look at this, \u00a0(holds his hands up) I\u2019m getting food colouring all over my hands!<\/p>\n

Rodney: <\/strong>Well wear the gloves then.<\/p>\n

Albert: <\/strong>No way, last time I wore a pair of them I came out in a rash!<\/p>\n

Rodney: <\/strong>I\u2019m surprised you noticed the difference, and in that case your hands\u2018ll be red whatever you do then won\u2019t they. At least this way you won\u2019t get any itching with it.<\/p>\n

Raquel: <\/strong>(enters the kitchen) What is that horrible smell?<\/p>\n

Rodney: <\/strong>well if you\u2019re referring to the sweet and sickly aroma of cheap wine it\u2019ll be this stuff. Anything else and it\u2019ll be Albert\u2026<\/p>\n

Raquel: <\/strong>What has he got you two doing now?<\/p>\n

Rodney: <\/strong>Do you really<\/em> want to know Raquel?<\/p>\n

Raquel:<\/strong> Yeah on second thoughts I think you\u2019re right Rodney, If I don\u2019t know I can\u2019t \u00a0worry about it.\u00a0 How are you and Cassandra getting on now your back together Rodney? I haven\u2019t spoken to her since she got back from her interview.<\/p>\n

Rodney: <\/strong>Oh yeah we\u2019re fine. She\u2019s still making her way up to the top and leaving me dragging my heels behind.\u00a0 She finds out if she\u2019s got that job today. She\u2019s attending some function full of executives. \u00a0Yes I bet right now she\u2019s enjoying the luxuries of fine food and intelligent conversation whilst pouring copious amounts of champagne down her neck. While I\u2019m standing\u00a0 in Dels Kitchen, hearing about Alberts skin compaints and pouring red food colouring into 4000 bottles of Romanian reisling.<\/p>\n

Raquel: <\/strong>Well, I\u2019m pleased you\u2019re back together again. she was really concerned you know when you and Del disappeared.<\/p>\n

Albert: <\/strong>Yah, she was worried you might come back! (Laughs)<\/p>\n

Rodney: <\/strong>Shut up Albert!<\/p>\n

Raquel: <\/strong>Right I\u2019m off down the Laundrette \u00a0before they close then, See you later.<\/p>\n

Rodney: <\/strong>Yeah, see you later Raquel.<\/p>\n

Albert:<\/strong> Did I ever tell you about the time one of our ships went missing?<\/p>\n

Rodney: <\/strong>Albert you lost every ship you sailed in. They\u2019re all sitting at the bottom of the sea.<\/p>\n

Albert: <\/strong>I don\u2019t mean it sunk, it just floated away.<\/p>\n

Rodney: <\/strong>Eh?<\/p>\n

Albert:<\/strong> Well, we were transporting cargo on the Spanish coast see, And one day\u00a0 the entire crew had to evacuate the ship because we\u2019d picked up on Radar that a fleet of German warships was heading our way. We were an open target cause being a cargo vessel we didn\u2019t have any defences see.<\/p>\n

Rodney: <\/strong>So what happened?<\/p>\n

Albert: <\/strong>Well as soon as everyone got off, the ship and all its cargo was taken away with the tide cause it hadn\u2019t been anchored properly. It ended up in Venezuela 2 months later.<\/p>\n

Rodney: <\/strong>How do you know it ended up there?<\/p>\n

Albert: <\/strong>Well, I was on it! I was the one who was meant to stay behind and whey anchor. But it kept getting stuck see.<\/p>\n

Rodney: <\/strong>So what happened to the rest of the crew that you left behind?<\/p>\n

Albert: <\/strong>Well, they got captured on land by the Germans. I was alright though cause we\u2019d just picked up a full cargo of food.<\/p>\n

Rodney:<\/strong>\u00a0 (sarcastically) Oh well that\u2019s a relief then isn\u2019t! So was you registered as missing in action then?<\/p>
