Continuing\u00a0from yesterday<\/a>\u00a0we pick up the final part 4 of Only Fools Fan Kiel Phillips script called Broke<\/p>\n

Only Fools fan script – Broke – Final Part 4<\/h2>\n

SCENE 4 – LIVING ROOM – AFTERNOON<\/strong><\/p>\n

GRANDAD IS SITTING IN HIS USUAL SPOT. THE DOOR FLINGS OPEN AND DEL ENTERS FOLLOWED BY RODNEY. DEL IN A TEMPER THROWS THE SUITCASE ACROSS THE LIVING ROOM. IT LETS OUT A BLAST OF CHINESE<\/p>\n

GRANDAD: Did you sell them then?<\/p>\n

DEL: Hold me back Rodney<\/p>\n

RODNEY: No we didn’t sell them<\/p>\n

GRANDAD: Wasn’t the shop open?<\/p>\n

RODNEY: No, it was open<\/p>\n

GRANDAD: No customers?<\/p>\n

RODNEY: There were plenty of customers<\/p>\n

GRANDAD: None of them Chinese?<\/p>\n

RODNEY: No no, the majority of them were Chinese<\/p>\n

GRANDAD: I don’t understand then, what went wrong?<\/p>\n

DEL HEADS TO THE SUITCASE AND PULLS OUT ONE OF THE TOYS<\/p>\n

\"Only<\/p>\n

DEL: What went wrong is that none of the Chinese people wanted one of these, because these are flamin’ Japanese<\/p>\n

GRANDAD: And they didn’t want them?<\/p>\n

RODNEY: Well of course they didn’t bloody want them, it’s a different language<\/p>\n

DEL: How could you not have known Rodney, you have two GCE’s<\/p>\n

RODNEY: Yes, in maths and art, not oriental languages<\/p>\n

GRANDAD: Does that mean we’re not having that steak tonight?<\/p>\n

DEL RAISES THE TOY AS IF TO HIT GRANDAD AND THEN JUST THROWS IT BACK INTO THE CASE LETTING OFF YET ANOTHER BLAST OF WHAT THEY NOW KNOW TO BE JAPANESE. DEL GIVES IT A KICK<\/p>\n

DEL: Shut up<\/p>\n

DEL LIFTS SOME LETTERS OFF THE BAR<\/p>\n

DEL: Are these what came today?<\/p>\n

GRANDAD: Yeah, most of ’em are red<\/p>\n

DEL LIFTS A WASTEPAPER BASKET ONTO THE BAR<\/p>\n

DEL: I’ll just file them away<\/p>\n

DEL STARTS TO GO THROUGH THE PILE OF LETTERS THROWING THEM ONE BY ONE IN THE BIN. HE STOPS AT ONE AND LOOKS HORRIFIED<\/p>\n

DEL: Solicitors!<\/p>\n

DEL THROWS IT IN THE BIN LIKE IT IS ON FIRE<\/p>\n

RODNEY: Del! You can’t ignore a solicitors letter<\/p>\n

DEL: Watch me bruv<\/p>\n

RODNEY PICKS IT OUT OF THE BIN<\/p>\n

DEL: Would you put that back you plonker, it’ll only be someone after me for money i don’t have<\/p>\n

RODNEY: In Ireland?<\/p>\n

DEL: Eh?<\/p>\n

RODNEY: The address on the back say it’s from Ireland<\/p>\n

DEL: Well go on, open it then<\/p>\n

RODNEY OPENS THE LETTER AND STARTS TO READ IT<\/p>\n

DEL: Well, what does it say?<\/p>\n

GRANDAD: Give him a chance to read it<\/p>\n

BEAT<\/p>\n

GRANDAD: What does it say Rodney<\/p>\n

RODNEY: ‘Dear Mr Trotter, may we first offer our condolences on the passing of your Uncle’<\/p>\n

DEL: Uncle? Uncle who?<\/p>\n

GRANDAD: He’s not called Albert is he?<\/p>\n

RODNEY: Derek Cooper<\/p>\n

DEL: Of course, Uncle Derek, mum’s brother. That’s who i was named after. He’s dead?<\/p>
