In their absence, a tragedy strikes at the heart of the Trotter family.<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Scene 1 &#8211; Peckham General, Grandad&#8217;s ward, day<\/strong><br \/>\nGrandad is lying in bed reading a book. As Del enters, Grandad feigns illness and crinkles up in bed.<br \/>\nDel &#8211; Alright Grandad.<br \/>\nGrandad &#8211; I&#8217;m on my way out Del Boy<br \/>\nDel &#8211; I thought that was last week.<br \/>\nGrandad &#8211; Have you not brought me a bacon butty?<br \/>\nDel &#8211; That thing on reception&#8217;s a bit tasty aint she? I&#8217;m taking her out next Friday.<br \/>\nGrandad &#8211; I overheard her telling a doctor she was emigrating to Australia next week.<br \/>\nDel &#8211; Dementia kicking in is it?<br \/>\nGrandad &#8211; Well don&#8217;t ask me how I am then? The front doorbell, sounding like Big Ben, chimes, causing Rodney to drop his tea down his shirt.<br \/>\nRodney &#8211; Oh bloody hell.<br \/>\n<strong>Scene 3 &#8211; The Trotters flat, hallway, day<\/strong><br \/>\nRodney &#8211; I&#8217;ll shove that doorbell right up his bell ring. Actually, I&#8217;ll get him to do it. He knows the quickest route to it after all.<br \/>\nRodney answers the door. It&#8217;s Ken Carson.<br \/>\nRodney &#8211; Yeah. Can I help ya?<br \/>\nKen &#8211; I&#8217;m looking for Del Boy?<br \/>\nRodney &#8211; Del Boy? Never heard of him. A bell boy lives down that way if that&#8217;s any help.<br \/>\nKen &#8211; It&#8217;s never&#8230; gawd blimey. As the bell starts chiming, Rodney rips it off the wall and puts it in Grandad&#8217;s coat, which is hanged up by the door.<br \/>\n<strong>Scene 4 &#8211; Peckham General, Grandad&#8217;s ward, day<\/strong><br \/>\nDel and Grandad are laughing.<br \/>\nDel &#8211; &#8230;And then the Muslim turned to the Imam and said, let&#8217;s send out for a pizza instead.<br \/>\nGrandad laughs.<br \/>\nDel &#8211; Glad to see you perked up. The flat aint been the same without ya. You can&#8217;t smell burning in the kitchen anymore. Apart from last night when Rodney set fire to his adult art magazine.<br \/>\nGrandad &#8211; Least you&#8217;ve got telly. If you die in the night, I&#8217;ll kill ya.<br \/>\nGrandad &#8211; See ya Del Boy.<br \/>\nDel walks off, and after one last look at Grandad, he exits the ward.<br \/>\n<strong>Scene 5 &#8211; The Trotters flat, hallway, night<\/strong><br \/>\nDel enters and takes off his coat.<br \/>\nDel &#8211; If you&#8217;ve been skiving here all day, I&#8217;ll make you eat a giro cheque ya little plonker.<br \/>\n<strong>Scene 6 &#8211; The Trotters flat, living room, night<\/strong><br \/>\nDel enters to find Ken and Rodney eating fish &amp; chips.<br \/>\nRodney &#8211; Oh speak of the devil.<br \/>\nKen &#8211; Del Boy? Good to see ya mucker.<br \/>\nDel &#8211; Er&#8230;<br \/>\nRodney &#8211; We&#8217;ve saved you a bite. Funny story actually. A fish &amp; chip shop van broke down downstairs. You didn&#8217;t sell him the van did ya?<br \/>\nDel &#8211; No. I did sell him the fish though.<br \/>\nRodney spits it out as Del grabs Rodney&#8217;s chips and begins eating them.<br \/>\nDel &#8211; Yeah. He&#8217;s been moaning ever since his grandson left.<br \/>\n<strong>Scene 15 &#8211; Peckham General, Grandad&#8217;s ward<\/strong><br \/>\nGrandad is asleep. The nurse leads the mystery guest in, who&#8217;s face isn&#8217;t seen.<br \/>\nNurse &#8211; Oh, he&#8217;s asleep. I&#8217;m sure he&#8217;ll love to wake up and see a friendly face.<br \/>\nThe nurse leaves and the visitor sits by Grandad&#8217;s bed, revealing his face &#8211; It&#8217;s Reg Trotter.<br \/>\nReg &#8211; Hello old&#8217;en. Oh I&#8217;m sorry.<br \/>\nReg looks at Grandad with a tear in his eye.<br \/>\nReg &#8211; I was a useless son. A useless husband and definitely a useless father. Mind you, Del Boy didn&#8217;t help. Chucking in a sly punch like that. And as for his mother, she was more popular than Princess Di in Peckham during the 60s, but not in the right sense.
