How amazing it is when props are preserved from Only Fools and Horses. Whether its the Harrison time piece or the cookie jar from Dels flat, they all hold memories of our favorite sitcom. But this is one I never thought Perry would find…the very Amerciancar from Dates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Perry tells us, “We are very pleased to announce the Society have just bought the red American car from Dates <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The car is firmly a prop, we haven\u2019t bought it with the intention of getting it back on the road as we feel it would take a lot of time expense and also know how we simply don\u2019t have, perhaps one day <\/p>\n\n\n\n

More we have bought it to preserve it and to take to Conventions and Exhibitions <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Imagine a long street scene, the red car with lights flashing, a Trotter van half in the air, lots of traffic cones and a 1980s police car. We think that would be a great photo op for people to have their photo taken sitting in the back, perhaps even with Nervous Nerys<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    We bought from the original company that hired it to the BBC all those years ago, and it\u2019s nice to have the background story<\/p>\n\n\n\n
