Imagine having to paint the Villa Bella in the Only Fools and Horses episode called The Jolly Boys Outing. That would be one heck of a job and I’m not sure if I would be a Jolly Boy by the end of it!
That was the job given to Thomas back in the day. Fortunately for him, it wasn’t ran by Mrs Cresswell or Inga, but he was employed by the BBC department.

This is Thomas who worked for the BBC in 1989 and whose job was to paint The Villa Bella for filming.

Of course it now long since demolished, but these are tremendous photos. Real trips down memory lane for every Only Fools and Horses fan.

Especially as these are from the set of the The Jolly Boy’s Outing ’89 Christmas Special and what is considered to be one of the greatest episodes ever made.
