It’s Only Rock And Roll, is a great episode and a really good insight on how Del really does bugger things up for Rodney.
When Rodney joins a new band, straight away Del thinks Rodney is wasting his time with them bunch of ‘Wallys!’. But also Del sees this as a great moment to make money. Del phones his friend ‘Liam’ as Del knows he needs a band, and immediately Del books them bunch of ‘Wallys’ being Rodney’s band. Del persuades them to play as Del destroyed one of his Dreams. Del persuades him that they would’ve never gotten to Stardom. Later after that Del sees the Band performing on Top of The Pops, and Rodney goes mad when he finds out as t hey could make it to ‘Number 1’.
