How many years have we been waiting for David Jason’s Autobiography to be released. Actually for many years we wonder whether it would ever happen, but we are now informed that its a definite release and what an insight this will prove to be for every Only Fools and Horses fan!
It gets even better as not only is it released in October but Perry informs me that the Appreciation Society do expect to have signed copies. We will keep you updated on the site.
Just had an additional video of some signings at Waterstones, so we thought you might enjoy watching this updated video.
David Jason will be marking 50 years in showbiz by publishing his autobiography. BBC News have reported that the Only Fools and Horses actor will be publishing his memoirs via Random House in the autumn of 2014. Jason said that writing the book would allow him to “share the journey” of his life with the British public.

“Over the past 50 years I have had the fortunate experience of working with some of the finest actors and writers in the world,” he told the press. “This book will be an opportunity for me to share the journey through my life and career with the people who have been most generous with their support and kindness – the great British public.” Jason has, for a long time, been an actor that the British public have been incredibly fond of – from his days as the hapless Del Boy in Only Fools and Horses, to his performance as Detective Inspector Jack Frost in the more serious crime drama A Touch of Frost – a role that began in 1992 and lasted for 16 years.
David Jason was born in 1940 and began his TV career in 1964, playing Bert Bradshaw in Crossroads. He went on to perform alongside the Monty Python comedians in Do Not Adjust Your Set. In 1993 he was awarded an OBE and in 2005 he received a knighthood – both for services to drama.
Can’t wait for this to be released
Will be an interesting read.
Great news! I will be up for a signed copy for sure!
