We are trying to work out which Only Fools and Horses episode this shot comes from. Obviously its another incite of the actors behind the scenes during the filming of an early episode. It’s possibly the Healthy Competition episode,
as that had an auction scene in it. What do you think?
Its definitely shot outside an auction scene as can be seen from the yellow notice above the door. The bloke on the right looks a little like Solly Attwell, the Trotter Family’s solicitor. But if that was the case, then this would be the infamous Hole in One episode. Which was originally shot with Grandad but of course was deleted after Lennard Pearce (Grandad) dies in real life and was replaced with Buster Merryfield (Uncle Albert).
Over to you Only Fools fans to solve – Which Only Fools and Horses episode do you think its from?
He’s wearing the jumper at the beginning of long legs of the law.
Just browsing round some ‘fools’ stuff cos its’ a very slow day in August 2019.
The dates on this thread suggest that it’s unlikely anyone will pick up this comment…
…but anyway here goes.
I can confirm that this is from Touch Of Glass from Series 2. I was Production Manager on Series 3 & 4 .
I can also confirm that ‘the guy on the right’, may look like Colin Jeavons who played Solly Atwell….but it isn’t. It is in fact the inestimable Ray Butt who, along with John Sullivan, started the whole ‘Fools’ shebang.
God bless you John and Ray .
Its from the opening scene from a touch of glass. The village hall is in Sutton Waldron, Dorset. I was there yesterday…..it hasnt changed much in 30+ years. Its not hard to figure out?????
1000% “A touch of Glass” I also love the fact that when watching it back the number plate on the 3 wheel van is “APL 911H” which is different from the other episodes.
It’s definitely ‘A Touch of Glass’ without a doubt.
A Touch of Glass.
How can anyone think this is Healthy Competition is beyond me. Rodders was wearing a suit in that auction scene; plus Grandad wasn’t in any of the outside scenes. I agree with the other, it’s a Touch of Glass.
How can anyone think this is ‘Healthy Competition’? The auction scene in that had Rodders in a suit plus Grandad wasn’t involved in the outside scenes. I concur with the others and say it is ‘A touch of Class’.
Agreed. It’s 100% from A Touch of Glass!!
These pictures are from the touch of glass episode at the start where dell boy buys the talking cats that sing how much is that doggy in the window the pictures shown are very detectable in this episode
Village hall, Sutton Waldron.
Was this filmed in bourmouth?
I CANNOT BELIEVE PEOPLE CANNOT RECOGNISE THIS!!!!!!
ITS FROM ‘A TOUCH OF GLASS’ IT IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOO OBVIOUS
I WOULD BET MY LIFE AND MY SUPERVAN 3 ON IT (AND I DO ACTUALLY HAVE ONE BY THE WAY)!!
I think it could be “A touch of glass” as right at the beginning it had a scene where they had come out of the auction and del had bought cats that plays a song about a dog!
It is 100% without a shadow of a doubt from the beginning scene of
‘A TOUCH OF GLASS’
i would bet my Trotters van on it!
No, I don’t think the Shadow was in this episode.
