Sullivan finally had a chance to prove his scripts would
really draw the audiences. For many the outstanding episode was the
chandelier scene in "A Touch of
Glass"
With still only 7 or 8 million tuning in, it still seemed
destined to end. Then suddenly a repeat at a new time of both
series and it was really discovered. The Trotters had captured the
British publics affections.
The Sitcom was finally born
