EXCLUSIVE: Cast your minds back to 25 December 2002 when we enjoyed the “Strangers on the Shore” episode of Only Fools and Horses where they track down the life of dear old Uncle Albert.
Well we now have from Perry’s collection some location and behind the scene shots of the filming of the Cafe in the village of St. Claire a la Chappelle. There they meet another World War II soldier named George Parker. In a bar, as George tells them about how much of a ladies’ man Albert was, the Trotter brothers notice that all the old men in the village have the same beard as Albert or Captain Birdseye’s banjo! as they like to call him!
So below are some of the production team and extras as well as some well know faces before they film.
Where is this village?
