Raquel has moved in with Del, as has the newly separated Rodney. When Rodders isn’t asleep on the couch he’s drinking too much, or nursing hangovers.
While Cassandra and her mother travel to Spain for a holiday, Alan Parry – Cassie’s Dad and Rodney’s boss – visits Del Boy and confides he was hoping to leave his business to the couple. They hatch a plot to arrange a second honeymoon for them.
Rodney pays £250 for their trip, and waits for Cassandra to arrive at Gatwick airport. When he learns the real reason behind her flight being diverted, Del has some serious explaining to do. As the brothers argue over who’s technique is best, the objects of their affections are whisked away from under their noses.

Episode Observation
- In The Sky’s the Limit, I may be mistaken but is the girl at the Gatwick check-in desk the prostitute that Del meets in ‘Dates’ at Waterloo Station?
- In The Sky’s the Limit, in the whole of series seven Rodney wheres a cream jacket with the crest on the left but on the jacket on the front of the complete series seven video the crest is on his right.
- In The Sky’s the Limit, In the scene where Boycie is trying to get his satellite dish to work and Marleen brings Tyler out in the Pram, they get talking about Racquel being a stripper. Marleen states that she is an actor and not a stripper. Boycie snaps back by saying ” Oh yeah? Well the last time I say her, she was acting the part of a stripper.” This is incorrect as the last time he saw her was in The Jolly Boys Outing when she appeared on stage with Raymondo, and not in the previous episode of Dates which is the scene he is referring to!.
- In The Sky’s the Limit, Del claims to know the hotel where Bronko lives yet he was never told this by Bronko. Even if you look when he is given a card he just throws it away and never looks at it.
- In The Sky’s the Limit, When Boycie comes round asking Del if he’s been offered a satellite he says he can’t stay long because some of the hooligans on the estate “would have the wheels of a Jumbo if it flew too low”. Was this a preminition of things to come? Did the yobbos have the wheels off the Jumbo that started heading towards Nelson Mandela Tower?
- In The Sky’s the Limit, when Boycie is playing with his new satelite dish, Marlene comes into the garden with Tyler in a pram – watch the pram switch backwards and forwards as they are having a conversation.
- In The Sky’s the Limit, there is a very clear difference between the outside scene of Del and Rodney on the balcony, and the studio scene on the balcony when you see the satellite dish for the first time.Outside the wall is two bricks thick, whereas the studio scene four bricks thick.
- In The Sky’s the Limit, the studio scene on the balcony when you see the satellite dish for the first time shows a small window (in the Kitchen wall), yet in “Fatal Extraction” when the riots start, the outside scene shows the block of flats used for Nelson Mandella House clearly is built in a way that the door is on the side of the kitchen and not from the lounge.

Did You Know?
The idea for the script was based on one of John Sullivan’s holiday to Portugal, and discovering he wasn’t booked on the plane.
When Del and Rodney are standing on the balcony the camera shows in the background what appears to be GOLD music award discs.
Which indicates that the backdrop is not that of a set mock up but there is in fact another reason??
It is thought that due to the tragedy of September the 11th 2001, this episode is unlikely to be broadcast as the ending is inappropriate.
GOLD still occasionally shows it
