Are there any Only Fools and Horses out-takes or blooper videos?
UPDATED – NOW FOUND ON Only Fools and Horses Bloopers Post
Strangely you’ll find very few re-takes or bloopers when it comes to Only Fools and Horses yet alone a video of them.
For any fan that has seen a live filming at the studios you’ll know why. David Jason who plays Del and Nicholas Lyndhurst who play Rodney are amongst Britain’s greatest actors and very rarely make a mistake during filming. Having read a David Jason biography, it appears that David Jason is no fan of mistakes during filming. He takes his acting so serious that it’s thought that this is the reason why any bloopers on the cutting room floor have yet to make it onto any DVDs or Blu-ray release.
A Missing Blooper
Remarkably one blooper did make it out into the open many years ago and we need your help to locate it.
It came from the top episode called A Touch of Glass, more often known as the chandelier episode. The clipping showed a few takes of Grandad trying to hammer the thread on the chandelier. He missed on more than one occasion. Whether the BBC archives section has it or if anyone has a copy we would love to hear from you.
Missing Recording
Speaking to Perry recently he said “Tell you what I’ve never found – they won a Golden Egg award from Noel Edmonds – for ‘you’ve sucked up our ern’ From Ashes to Ashes. Never seen it – perhaps we can find some screen grabs and ask if anyone has it on VHS” ?
Found Blooper
This one was well spotted by John on Youtube
If you can locate the chandelier lost clip or have any other bloopers then please let us know.

I have found the Touch of Glass blooper online and an even more rare outtake featuring David Jason, from It Never Rains.

I’ve seen the chandelier blooper! I strongly suspect that this is where you discovered it: however, I happened to see it on one of those ‘Alright On The Night,’ type shows. It might have even been the Neil Morrisey-narrated show (Greatest TV Bloopers?)on ITV. It was a good while ago (maybe 8-9 years) but I’ve seen it! It definatley exists and was broadcast on one of these ITV shows. Ask ITV or whoever they are owned by now!
I have had a good look on the net and cant find a single thing. Maybe somebody recorded it. :)
First time I have ever seen an OFAH blooper. Thanks for that video. I think the BBC has all the footage from deleted scenes to the lost hole in one scenes. Shame the BBC wont release them. It just doesn’t make sense.
There’s some Outtake TV repeats on Watch over the next few weeks, so I’ll keep an eye out on those.
Hi. I uploaded a blooper over Christmas. It’s from an episode that’s totally skipped my mind at the moment, one of the early 90’s specials I think. Found it on one of the Auntie’s Cock-Up programmes that Challenge were airing.

One of the comments also says there’s another blooper where Rodney answers the door before the doorbell sounds.
Well Done John
Great Blooper
