It’s not so much TV broadcasts – repeats on sky, have all the music scenes intact.

it’s when only fools and horses was released on VHS home video and DVD – alot of the music scenes were sadly chopped, because the BBC wasn’t willing to get the singers permission and pay them for music rights.

That is the case with most episodes but sadly they stopped showing the uncut version of ‘Yuppy Love’ on UK Gold mid 2011

Do you have the full episode?

I got a shedload of old video cassettes off my Uncle a few months ago, and was looking through them, only to find a bunch of Only fools and horses video’s, recorded from when they were first broadcast, I’ve got Too hull and back, and Season 6 and 7.

They are on two 4 hours heavy duty tapes from boots, so if there are any missing scenes in those episodes, i’ll upload them to youtube if you haven’t already got them.

Other video’s i got were an Alexie sayle guide to road safety, and Some rubbish with robert kilroy silk in it. :D

why did they cut the music out I wish they would leave things alone always making cuts

    • Rob M says:

The reason certain music scenes get cut – is because permission is needed from the person/band whoever sung the song.

and not only is permission needed, but it’s a money issue aswell, cash would have to be paid to the person/band who sung the song.

so naturally – you can assume why the BBC made cuts to the music scenes of only fools.

A frustrating situation I know – as I’m sure many only fools fans hate this.
